Ferhat Abbas Sétif University maintains its national leadership in the international URAP (University Ranking by Academic Performance), ranking first among 20 Algerian universities listed and 1,489th worldwide, according to the March 2025 ranking.
The URAP ranking is based on the academic quality of higher education institutions. Each year, data from nearly 4,000 institutions are collected and analyzed to establish a ranking based on academic performance, using six key indicators:
- Number of published scientific articles
- Number of citations
- Total number of scientific documents
- Total impact of scientific articles (AIT)
- Total impact of citations (CIT)
- Level of international collaboration
