Sétif City, also known as Setifis or Zdif, which means "black soil", is the capital of the highlands region, a city located in eastern Algeria, known for its strong dynamism as an economic, cultural, agricultural, and tourist hub. Sétif boasts major factories and commercial centers and is rich in cultural and historical heritage. It serves as a distinguished and well-known tourist destination, connecting the eastern and western parts of the country. The city covers a significant area of 6,549.64 square kilometers and sits at 1,100 meters above sea level. It comprises 60 municipalities spread across 20 districts and is approximately 300 kilometers away from the country’s capital, Algiers.
