Under the theme “Unity and Commitment”, Ferhat Abbas University Sétif 1 commemorated on Thursday, October 16, 2025, the 64th anniversary of the Migration Day, marking the historic demonstrations of October 17, 1961.
The ceremony, led by Professor Mohamed El Hadi Latreche, took place at the May 19, 1956 Square, with the participation of university officials and community members.
The event included a minute of silence and Quran recitation in tribute to the martyrs, followed by a speech highlighting the symbolic significance of this day, reflecting the unity and determination of Algerians in France during the liberation struggle.
