On Monday, April 6th, 2026, the Mouloud Kacem Naït Belkacem conference hall at Ferhat Abbas Sétif 1 University hosted the final round of the 5th edition of the Quran recitation competition “Misk Al-Tartil,”
under the supervision of the University Rector, Prof. Mohamed El Hadi Latreche, in the presence of university officials, jury members, partners, and students.
The event opened with a Quran recitation, followed by a speech from the Rector highlighting the importance of such initiatives in promoting spiritual values and constructive competition among students. He also commended the organizing bodies, including the sub-directorate of scientific, cultural, and sports activities and the Dental Study Club.
The program featured a talk on “the student’s relationship with the Quran,” followed by performances from the 16 finalists, evaluated by a specialized jury based on tajwid rules and recitation quality. The event also included nasheed performances by students and invited guests.
Prior to announcing the results, jury members were honored for their contribution. The top seven winners were then awarded, with Saadoun Soumia securing first place, followed by Boudraa Noufel Charaf Eddine and Mekkari Yasser.
This final ceremony marks the culmination of the preliminary rounds held during the holy month of Ramadan, which saw the participation of 50 students from various faculties and institutes of the university.
