Sétif 1 University – Ferhat Abbas, as a member of the Silk Road Universities Network (SUN), informs its students about the call for applications for the 9th edition of the PHOCOS (SUN Photo Contest) 2025-2026.
PHOCOS is an annual international photography contest that aims to promote cultural exchange and mutual understanding by highlighting the diversity of cultures and heritage along the Silk Roads.

The Flavours of the Silk Roads: Gastronomy, Table Culture and Shared Traditions along the Silk Roads
Important Dates:
- Submission deadline: 15 September 2026, 23:59 GST
- Announcement of results: 21 September 2026
- 11th SUN General Assembly: 15–20 November 2026
- Venue: Algiers, Tlemcen, Bejaia and Setif – Algeria
- Registration deadline: 20 September 2026
The winners will be invited to participate in the 11th SUN General Assembly in Algeria, with travel expenses covered according to the prize category.
