The International Law Commission (ILC) of the United Nations is launching a call for applications to establish a reserve list of research assistants in the field of public international law.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Hold a PhD in public international law, or a Master’s degree with at least two (2) years of relevant professional experience;
- Be fluent in English, French, or Spanish (spoken and written); knowledge of another official UN language, particularly Arabic, is considered an asset.

Candidates must submit the following documents by April 15, 2025, to
- Completed UN P.11 form
- Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Cover letter
- Samples of academic publications
Applications will be reviewed three times per year: April 15, June 15, and August 15.
Selected applicants will be placed on a 3-year reserve list, from which they may be recruited based on ILC needs.
Remuneration will follow UN consultancy regulations (ST/AI/2013/4).
