Ferhat Abbas University Sétif 1 commemorates the National Day of Remembrance marking the 80th anniversary of the May 8, 1945 massacres under the theme: “Memory Day… A Memorable Day for a Promising Future”

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the May 8, 1945 massacres, Ferhat Abbas University Sétif 1 held a commemorative ceremony on Thursday, May 8, 2025, under the slogan: "Memory Day... A Memorable Day for a Promising Future." The event took place at the El Baz campus square, attended by university officials, staff, and students. The program began with the national anthem followed by a moment of silence in tribute to the martyrs. This activity is part of a broader initiative featuring historical and cultural events to honor and preserve national memory.
