Each year, millions of tons of plastic waste break down into tiny particles known as microplastics, infiltrating our oceans, air, and soil. These minuscule particles contaminate the environment, harm wildlife and plant life, and even enter our food chain.
The Women’s Forum of Ferhat Abbas Sétif 1 University (UFAS) refuses to remain passive in the face of this critical issue, which particularly affects our region—especially the city of Sétif. For this reason, the Forum is organizing a study day under the theme:
"Microplastics: Tiny Fragments, Major Threats"
This event will take place on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at the Mouloud Kassem Nait Belkacem Auditorium, at the El-Baz university campus.
