On Tuesday, June 3, 2025, Setif 1 University – Ferhat Abbas held a study day titled “Microplastics: Small Fragments, Big Dangers”, organized by the university’s Women’s Forum. The event, opened by the university rector Prof. Lotfi Mohamed El Hadi, brought together academics, researchers, experts, and students to discuss the environmental and health risks posed by microplastics. The program included several scientific presentations addressing pollution, biological threats, and innovative biotechnological solutions. The study day aimed to raise awareness and promote constructive dialogue around sustainable responses to the microplastic crisis.
