On June 11, 2025, Setif 1 University – Ferhat Abbas honored researchers Prof. Fayçal Kherfi and Prof. Malia Hamissi, along with Prof. Chahrazed Benkhalifa, for obtaining a patent from the Algerian National Institute of Industrial Property (INAPI).
The invention involves a luminescent dosimeter made of alumina doped with antimony and sodium, designed for ionizing radiation dosimetry. The rector praised the team’s achievement as a milestone reflecting the university's scientific excellence in research and innovation.
