On Monday, 6 July 2026, Ferhat Abbas Sétif 1 University hosted a regional meeting on archives management and organization in the Higher Education and Scientific Research sector. The event was chaired by the Rector, Prof. Mohamed El Hadi Latreche,
President of the Eastern Regional Conference of Universities, alongside the Ministry's Deputy Director for Archives and Documentation, with the participation of secretaries general and archives officers from universities across Eastern Algeria.
The meeting highlighted the national strategy for archives management and presented the newly approved records management schedule, while discussing its implementation as part of the sector's digital transformation and the modernization of document governance.
