On Monday, October 13, 2025, Ferhat Abbas University Setif 1 commemorated the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction under the theme “Investing in Resilience, Not in Disasters”, at the Auditorium of the Institute of Architecture and Earth Sciences.
The event, chaired by University Rector Prof. Mohamed El Hadi Latreche, gathered representatives from the Civil Protection Department, Forestry Directorate, and the National Agency for Territorial Planning and Attractiveness, alongside academics and students.
Discussions focused on disaster prevention, sustainable risk management, and strategies to strengthen community resilience in the face of environmental and climatic challenges.
