On June 10, 2025, Setif 1 University – Ferhat Abbas held an awareness meeting titled "Scientific Publishing and Research Visibility", targeting professors, researchers, and PhD students. Led by Mr. Hakim Harek,
Head of the National Committee for University Ranking and Visibility, the event highlighted the importance of academic publishing in international rankings, platforms like Google Scholar and ResearchGate, and key metrics (h-index, citations, etc.). The session also emphasized the value of global research collaboration and concluded with a discussion and a dedicated meeting with editors of Algerian scientific journals.
