On Wednesday, 12 November 2025, the Rector of the University of Sétif 1 – Ferhat Abbas, Prof. Mohamed El Hadi Latreche, supervised the launch of the doctoral admission competition within the National Doctoral School in Quantum Computing at the Faculty of Sciences. The event was attended by the Vice-Rectors, the Secretary General, the Dean of the Faculty, and members of the doctoral training committee.
The competition is organized as part of a national partnership involving several universities, including the University of Sétif 1, the University of Science and Technology of Oran – Mohamed Boudiaf, Constantine 2 University – Abdelhamid Mehri, USTHB, the Higher School of Computer Science in Sidi Bel Abbès, as well as the Universities of Boumerdès and Biskra.
More than 2050 candidates registered at the University of Sétif 1 are taking part in the competition, which includes two exams: a common test and a specialized test. The Rector monitored the progress of the examinations conducted under strict organizational conditions at the Faculty of Sciences and the Faculty of Economic, Commercial, and Management Sciences.
