On Saturday, January 24, 2026, the University of Setif 1 – Ferhat Abbas launched the entrance competition for doctoral (third-cycle) training within the framework of the National Doctoral Schools for Visibility Promotion for the 2025–2026 academic year.
The competition was officially launched at the Faculty of Sciences by the Rector, Prof. Mohamed El Hadi Latreche, in the presence of the Vice-Rectors, the Dean of the Faculty of Sciences, and members of the doctoral training committee. The examinations were conducted under well-organized and controlled conditions.
On the first day, competitions were held at the Faculty of Technology (Electronics and Process Engineering) and in Mathematics at the Faculty of Sciences, with contributions from faculty members representing several national universities.
At the national level, the competition is organized across five universities: Setif 1, USTHB, Tlemcen, Annaba, and Sidi Bel Abbès, in coordination with 13 higher schools and two research centers. It covers 18 disciplines and 706 doctoral positions nationwide.
