The University of Sétif 1 receives the Medal of Merit from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research

The University of Sétif 1 - Ferhat Abbas has been awarded the Medal of Merit by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, presented by the Minister, Prof. Kamel Baddari, to the Rector, Prof. Mohamed El Hadi Latreche, for the ranking of the University of Sétif 1 among the 23 top national universities according to the Times Higher Education rankings, 2024 edition, placing Algeria first in the Arab world and second in Africa.

The late Prof. Zoubida Zaidi, and Prof. Abdelmajid Bouhmadou of the University of Sétif 1 were also honored with the Ministry's Medal of Merit for being ranked among the ten (10) most cited Algerian researchers.
