On February 10, 2026, the Scientific Council of University of Sétif 1 – Ferhat Abbas held an extraordinary session chaired by the University Director, Pr. Lotrech Mohamed El Hadi.
The meeting addressed several agenda items, including:

- Approval of the results of the third-cycle doctoral admissions under the national doctoral schools for the 2025-2026 academic year, for the Electrotechnics and Telecommunications departments at the Faculty of Technology, and the Biotechnology department at the Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences.
- Review of completed doctoral competitions and preparation for upcoming competitions scheduled for February 12, 2026.
The Council also discussed various matters related to scientific and research activities.
