On Sunday, January 25, 2026, the University of Setif 1 – Ferhat Abbas, through its Social Services Committee, organized a ceremony honoring faculty members and staff who retired in 2025.
The ceremony took place at the Mouloud Kacem Naït Belkacem auditorium and was presided over by the Rector, Prof. Mohamed El Hadi Latreche, in the presence of the Secretary General, Vice-Rectors, members of the Social Services Committee, and the university community.
In his speech, the Rector praised the dedication and valuable contributions of the retirees to the university and to higher education. A total of 55 faculty and staff members were honored in an atmosphere of appreciation and gratitude.
Tribute was also paid to staff members who passed away in 2025 in recognition of their service to the university.
On the sidelines of the ceremony, documents related to staff members benefiting from the Umrah program were distributed as part of the university’s social support initiatives.
