On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the May 8, 1945 massacres, the University of Guelma 8 May 1945 in is organizing an international conference titled "The French Massacres of May 8, 1945: National Memory and International Perspectives."
This event will take place on May 7–8, 2025, bringing together researchers and specialists to discuss this historical tragedy from multiple perspectives.
The conference aims to deepen discussions on the impact of these massacres, preserve national memory, and analyze international reactions to these pivotal events in Algerian history.
