On Monday, January 27, 2025, a meeting of the National Committee for the transition to a fourth-generation university (4.0) was held at the headquarters of the Regional Conference of Eastern Universities (CRUEst) at the University of Sétif 1. The meeting was attended by several academic and institutional leaders, including the Director General of Training at the Ministry of Higher Education, the Minister's advisor, the presidents of the Regional Conferences of Eastern and Western Universities, as well as rectors of universities and their deputies.
The meeting began with speeches emphasizing the importance of this transition, followed by a presentation of the National Committee's strategy and action plan by its chair, Prof. Nawel Abdelatif Mami. Discussions focused on the ministry's objectives and vision for modernizing higher education and aligning universities with fourth-generation standards.
